Here is the entire history of this legendary fighter/bomber to include the earliest mode, the Lockheed Model 22. Lots of mission accounts for missions in the Pacific, Germany, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, the Aleutians and the Mediterranean. It was a group of P-38s that caught Admiral Yamamoto on April 18, 1943 ending in his plane being blown out of the sky. TONS of rare photos, production data, and much more!
