    Description

"WHERE BIRDS NEVER SING" by Jack Sacco is the incredible story of the author's father Joe Sacco, who was among the very first American GIs to enter the Nazi Death Camp at Dachau, Germany for the liberation of prisoners in 1945. He was a member of the 92nd Signal Battalion of Patton's Third Army and hailed from the state of Alabama. He was 20 years old when he entered Dachau and nothing that he had ever seen could have prepared him for what he saw! He was among the first 250 American GIs in the camp. Joe had been in France and Germany for a year before he entered Dachau, but nothing he had EVER seen was like this! There are several photographs of what Joe Sacco saw in Dachau. Graphic.
Book is softback published in 2003. It is in NEAR MINT CONDITION, measures 6 1/4" x 9 1/2", and contains 316 pages with several original photographs throughout.
