    Description

"TAIL GUNNER", first published in 1943, is the memoir of a Halifax Bomber tail gunner R.C. Rivaz between August 1940 and December 1941. Intially, he was tail gunner for Leonard Cheshire, a famous RAF whitley pilot with 102 Squadron. The book was written just months of the events here describing night bombing and attacks against heavily defended enemy targets like Duisberg, Dusseldorf and Essen. Here too are shootouts with German fighters and much more. He was killed in October 1945 at age 37. This is a SPELLBINDING read!
Book is softback published in 2003 (originally written in 1943). It is in NEAR MINT CONDITION, measures 5" x 7 3/4" and contains 128 pages with 16 pages of photographs.
