WW2 87th Infantry Division Artillery Book Plus Signed Fold Out Map of Campaigns.
This “yearbook” sized book covers the exploits of The Golden Acorn” 87th Infantry Division during World War Two. It is specifically about the division artillery, as seen on the front cover. Inside are 180 pages of action and posed photos, including Batallion group photos, individual leadership photos, and many photos in the theater of operations.
Condition is well used and I have tried to show the well worn shape, including the pages being loose from the binding. There is also a degree of toning and shelf and storage wear on the book. All pages are intact, in order, and quite readable.
An added bonus found in the book is the large fold-out map of the divisions travels and contributions from its landing at Le Harve through France to Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, and Czechoslovakia. The large map also has the signatures and hometowns of several dozen of the men in a specific company signed on the back. I do not know from which organization of the 87th these men participated. Perhaps the well-motivated winner of this auction could find out………
