    Description

RARE Squads Riot Military Magazine 1941 Comics He-Man Stories Abbot Costello.
This is a 1941 issue of Squads Riot magazine, comic or entertainment publication.
This was published by Country Press, Inc. of Greenwich, Connecticut.
There are many funny military, situational cartoons throughout the book. One includes an image of an obvious Adolph Hitler. There are “He-Man Stories” as stated inside the cover. Many of the cartoons are what would have been considered risqué for the times but seem rather innocent in 2022.
There are around 60 pages in the magazine, the pages are not numbered.
Many various poems, chants, songs and writings about the War.
There are a couple of pages featuring photos from the Universal picture “Buck Privates,” featuring the iconic duo of Abbot and Costello.
The magazine measures about 8.5 X 11 inches and is about 1/4 of an inch thick.
The magazine has considerable wear, chips, flaws and discoloration but is still all in one piece and no pages appear to be missing. It does have substantial wear and has obviously seen a lot of use.
This appears to be a pretty rare magazine from it’s era. We haven’t found any others on eBay for sale or sold. There are a few links with an internet search but not a whole lot of information seems to be out there.
If anyone would like to offer any knowledge or facts about this that would enhance this listing it would be welcome.
Please refer closely to pictures and feel free to ask any questions you have through eBay messaging before purchasing and we will do our best to answer as clearly and promptly as possible.
    Shipped with care.
    Thank you.
