    Description

This book was prepared through the cooperative efforts of the Army Exchange Service, Historical Office, and Personnel Services Section of the Central African Division, ATC, supervised by Major Hall F. Achenbach and edited by Lt. Joseph Roberts, Jr. and published in 1945.  This hardcover is 10-¼” high by 7-¼” wide, it has 48 pages and is well illustrated.
This book is in VG condition, there is a previous owner’s blindstamp on the half-title page, otherwise it is a very nice, clean copy.  The Dust Jacket has a couple of tears and a little loss along the spine.  The Dust Jacket has been placed in a removable, archival protective cover, the photos were taken before the cover was added.
The book is about the World War II activities of the United States Army Air Force's Central African Division of the Air Transport Command.  The ATC Central African Wing, was responsible for moving aircraft, personnel and cargo from West African transport hubs over the Trans-Africa Route via Khartoum to Cairo, Egypt and to Aden, South Arabia and on to Karachi, India.
