Offered here together are two items published in 1944, during World War II. First is a paperback book. The cover reads: "AAF -THE OFFICIAL GUIDE TO THE ARMY AIR FORCES...Special Edition For A.A.F. Organizations." Inside, it is marked: "Copyright 1944." It has 380 pages, with dozens of diagrams, illustrations and photographs, including war planes, high ranking AAF leaders, men & women in service and more. The book is in GOOD condition with wear to the spine and covers. NO tape repair or tears. Inside is clean. Next is a small magazine, measuring just over 7 & 1/2 inches long, by 5 & 1/4 inches wide. The cover reads: "THE LINK - S.M.C.L. - Service Men's Christian League...Volume 2 - Number 7." Inside, it is marked: "JULY 1944." It has 64 pages. Inside the cover is a copy of the "D-Day Prayer." The magazine has articles, a short story, hymns, humor and more. One article features "Japyanks" - the 442nd Combat Team made up of Japanese Americans. (This regiment would go on to be the most decorated in U. S. military history.) The magazine is in EXCELLENT condition, with only minor wear.
