Rare Vintage Antique 100 Page First Edition Hardcover Children's Book measures approximately 7-1/8" x 9-3/16".  The front and back covers feature illustrations representing the several services in the armed forces and the following:

The generously illustrated children's book is intended to provide a simple, yet comprehensive and respectful overview to an impressionable readership of the United States Armed Services during World War II.
The Rare Vintage Antique Soldiers, Sailors, Fliers and Marines Book was written by Mary Elting and Robert T. Weaver, pictures by Jeanne Bendick, Navy Section directed by Margaret Gossett and her Very Good Navy Friends, and published by Junior Books, Doubleday Doran and Company, Inc., Garden City, New York.  It is a marked FIRST EDITION, copyright 1943.  The book is in Good to Very Good Condition for its Considerable Age, with some edge, corner and surface wear noted.  Also noted for accuracy only is a tiny bit of mustiness from many years of past shelf storage
