    THIS IS A CD!!! SUPER DUPER RARE, June 15,1943 revised November 30,1943 US Navy issued Pilot's Handbook of Flight Operating Instructions for the Douglas SBD-5 Dauntless Dive Bomber Aircraft, NAVAER 01-40AM-501, 50 pages SCANNED ON
    CD FROM MY ORIGINAL MANUAL, NOT FROM A REPRINT OR BOOTLEGGED FROM SOMEONE ELSE!! This manual was issued to pilots who got to fly the SBD-5 Dauntless
    ! There are several nice pictures and diagrams in this manual, all diagrams are in black and white! Please view the attached SCANS for a sample of this unique and RARE manual! The SBD-5 was the later war and the most produced version of this Dive Bomber built during WWII. There were 2,965 of this version built which was powered by a 1,200 HP Wright R-1820-60 radial engine. SBD's fought in numerous battles in the Pacific and sunk numerous ships including a few Jap aircraft carriers. Known for being "Slow But Deadly", it was a more favorable aircraft to fly than the airplane that replaced it, the SB2C Helldiver.This manual goes through EVERYTHING you would need to know to fly the SBD-5 from startup to shutdown.
