The SBD-5 was the later war and the most produced version of this Dive Bomber built during WWII. There were 2,965 of this version built which was powered by a 1,200 HP Wright R-1820 radial engine. SBD's fought in numerous battles in the Pacific and sunk numerous ships including a few Jap aircraft carriers. Known for being "Slow But Deadly", it was a more favorable aircraft to fly than the airplane that replaced it, the SB2C Helldiver.This manual goes through EVERYTHING you would need to know to fly the SBD-5 from startup to shutdown.
